Nostalgia Tea

When I was little, my to-go teas had a strong punch of fruit flavor. No matter the blend, their base involved hibiscus and rose hip. When I saw Friday's Tea offered Summer in Seattle, green tea with hibiscus and rose hip, I had to try it.

It bright me to a liquid happy place.

First comes a hit of acidity from the hibiscus/rose hip combination. This quickly gives way to earthy, vegetal notes from the green tea. These two flavors give the beverage a grown up touch.

With the aftertaste, the acidity returns, along with fruity hints that remind me of my childhood beverages. For me, this is a tea best consumed with few distractions, so I can better concentrate on memories.

Atop a white kitchen counter is a blue hot watter kettle on the left, and a bag of loose leaf tea labeled "Summer in Seattle."
Grown up with a hint of childhood
