In my first blog post of the year, I noted my writing and reading goals for 2025. (Insert link) By checking in every so often, I can keep track of my progress and see what areas need special focus.
Here's what I accomplished as of March 29th, 2025:
Blog posts published: 13, including this post
Books completed: 32
Short story: First draft completed.
Novel draft total: about 31500 words done. (headdesk in frustration.)
While I'm making progress in terms of front loading and clarifying details in my early chapters, I'm very much in a "two steps forward, two steps backward" situation regarding word count.
