My Writing Year in Review

This has been an eventful year for me, and not always in a good way. :/ Because I'm overly hard on myself, I want to create a space where I can remember and celebrate some of the good things that happened this year.

My most obvious accomplishment is starting this website and blog. Readership is still modest. This does not change how big a deal it is for me to maintain a journal with any type of regularity.

On a related note, I started a monthly newsletter! It features a flash fiction piece almost every issue. The newsletter also has early access updates to my work.

July held a massive step forward. The first ever magazine I edited premiered! I'm pleased with how FIYAH #31: Disabilities came out. You can read more about it here: https://emmaliah.wixsite.com/emmaliawrites/post/disability-pride-month-is-on-fiyah

November had the most exciting event. My first novel was finally published! It took so much work to get my story to this point, and I will keep bragging about it. More details are here: https://draft2digital.com/book/2340733
