My First Publication(?) of the Year!

My social club celebrated it's 10th anniversary this week. As part of the fesitivities, I was commissioned to write and read aloud a flash fiction story at a celebratory dinner.

Due to scheduling constraints, I was unable to rehearse at the venue, so my reading at the dinner was my first time performing it. Still, the story was well recieved, and many of the attendees praised my work.

The only wrinkle is that the story got introduced as a poem, so people were praising my "poetry," despite it's complete lack of meter. However, the most important part was I enjoyed writing and perfomring it, and listening to it made people happy.
