Memory Snack

Writer: Emmalia HarringtonEmmalia Harrington
Black child doll with piebaldism sits in a wheelchair, facing left. She's holding an orange object on her lap, mostly hidden from view.
(Sulla has no words, only nostalgia.)

An adult male doll with East Asian features, dressed in grey, appears on the left side of the image. He looks down towards Sulla and raises a hand in greeting.
Trahaearn: Hello.

A similar image to before, but Trahaearn is standing closer to Sulla, and his hand is no longer up.
Trahaearn: What are you holding?

Sulla still faces left, but now in a 3/4 pose. The orange on her lap is visible, and she's gesturing toward herself.
Sulla: It's an orange. Or a tangerine. Either way, it's amazing.

A closer view of Trahaearn, showing him from the knees up.
Trahaearn: May I hold it?

Similar image as before, but more of a 3/4. In his hands in the orange, and he looks down at it.
Trahaearn: I have never seen or smelled anything like this before.

A 3/4 of Sulla looking up at Trahaearn, with her arms crossed towards her chest to underscore her feelings.
Sulla: They're even better when you eat them. They're sour, but in a good way. And don't bite through the rind if you don't know what you're doing.

Similar to the above photo, but now Sulla's right harm has dropped onto her lap.
Sulla: That's how my Dad and I met. I was eating the rind and making faces, He peeled the orange for me.

Similar view to before, but now both arms have fallen to her lap. Sulla's gaze has also fallen.
Sulla: ...I gave him a sticky smile.

Similar photo to befoe, but no Sulla's head is bowed, with her braids obscuring her face. The image is slightly darker than the rest, reflecting her mood.
Sulla: I miss him.

Trahaearn stands behind Sulla, looking down towards her, and starting to stroke her hair.
Trahaearn: I did you a great wrong. Nothing I do will be enough to repair the harm.

Similar image to the above, but as a 3/4 view. Trahaearn hands the orange to Sulla with his left hand. Sulla looks up slightly and reached for the fruit with her right hand.
Trahaearn: Here, take this and remember your father.
